NILBudget uses authenticated accounts, protected sessions, access controls, and secure password handling. Users should use a unique password, enable available multifactor authentication, sign out on shared devices, and never share verification codes.
Data minimization
Only information needed for budgeting, education, reports, collaboration, support, and security should be collected. Do not upload unnecessary Social Security numbers, full tax returns, bank credentials, or other highly sensitive documents.
Collaboration safety
Sharing is intended to be granular and revocable. Invite only trusted people, regularly review permissions, and remove access that is no longer needed. Collaborators do not receive money-transfer authority.
Incident response
Suspected unauthorized access should be reported immediately through Contact the Commissioner. NILBudget may investigate, secure affected accounts, preserve necessary logs, notify impacted users when required, and coordinate remediation consistent with applicable law.
